Four layers from a single source
From the hardware to the inspection app, every layer is matched to the next. Only your app can change data – everything below it stays unchanged.
The core idea comes from modern cloud data centers, where countless servers have to run reliably and identically: immutable system images and updates via two partitions. We brought these concepts to industrial machine vision – Wahtari OS runs entirely on site at your line, with no cloud connection.

Only what we have signed will start
With Secure Boot, every stage verifies the digital signature of the next one at startup – from the firmware to the inspection app. Tampered software is never executed.
Updates without risk to your production
An update is never simply pushed. You decide when it comes – and if something goes wrong, your line keeps running.

- Installed in the backgroundFollowing the A/B principle proven in data centers, the update goes to a second partition while the system keeps running normally.
- Automatic fallbackIf the new version does not start cleanly, the system returns to the last working version on its own.
One error stays one error
Your inspection app consists of separate modules – for camera, AI analysis, operator screen and interfaces. Each one runs in its own protected space.
- No domino effectIf one module crashes, all others keep running unaffected.
- Minimal rightsEach module may only do what its task requires.
Why not Windows?
Many machine vision systems run on an ordinary Windows PC. That works well in the office – but not for a production line that has to run reliably for years.
