Every link, every tooth – inspected without gaps
Wahtari builds inspection systems for industrial chains, saw chains, saw blades and band saw blades. The AI finds cracks, chipping, deformations and surface defects while the product runs through the inspection. Cameras and setup follow your product and your production.
What matters on chains and saws
Chain links
Inspect plates, pins and joints for cracks, deformations and damage.
Teeth and cutters
Inspect the teeth and cutters of saw chains, saw blades and band saw blades for chipping, cracks and deformations.
Surface and markings
Find scratches, contamination, adhesions and residues, and read markings and codes.
Metal shines – the AI knows what a defect is
- Only real deviationsThe AI learns what good links and teeth look like – with their gloss and edges – and reports only what deviates from it.
- From several sidesSeveral cameras also see the flanks and inner sides of links and teeth.
- Teach & GoTeach new chain and saw types in seconds to minutes, without programming.
- Retrofittable, data stays in your plantConnected via PROFIBUS, PROFINET, OPC UA or REST API; analysis takes place at the line, on our own Wahtari OS.
Frequently asked questions
Chain and saw inspection
What does Wahtari inspect on chains and saws?
Industrial chains with their plates, pins and joints, and the teeth and cutters of saw chains, saw blades and band saw blades: for cracks, chipping, deformations and surface defects, plus markings and codes.
Do glossy metal surfaces interfere with the inspection?
Lighting and AI are matched to the surface. The AI learns what good links and teeth look like – with their gloss and edges – and reports only real deviations. Several cameras also see the flanks and inner sides.
Is image data transferred to a cloud?
No. The AI analysis runs directly at the line, and the data stays in your plant. Remote maintenance via the Wahtari Platform is possible, but only with your approval.
